For Memorial Day weekend, I went to Colorado for my dad’s friend’s wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony. I am glad I was able to attend even though I have finals this week. 🙂
Colorado is commonly known for its diverse geography, from the snowy white mountains to the green plains and arid deserts. Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods are some examples in Colorado.
Denver, Colorado’s State capital, is nicknamed the Mile-High City because it is exactly 5280 ft high. The air is thinner and dryer there. The biggest piece of advice that anyone would give is to drink lots of water. The low humidity in Colorado keeps the air dry so you need about twice as much water as you would drink at home.
With less water vapor in the air at this altitude, the sky is bluer in Colorado. I felt like I could reach for the clouds. Denver usually receives over 300 days of sunshine each year. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm.
