Make Electronics:Part 4

Today was Experiment #6: Very Simple Switching.

The rudiments of switches

This is a toggle switch that was included in the experiment kit.
This is the toggle. You can flip it back and forth to turn the current on and off.

The switches that were included in this kit have 3 terminals, but some switches, like the lights in your house, have 2 terminals. This is because their output is only on or off. These switches are known as single throw switches. A single-pole, single-throw switch is abbreviated SPST.

I tried making the circuit in the book but the LED wouldn’t light up because my wires would not attach to the switch.
