Green Tea has been around for a long time. In fact, it was originally found in China around 600~900 AD. Only recently, has green tea been found to have many health benefits.
1. Lower risk of heart diseases
According to reviews of many studies done in 2013, green tea has been shown to improve blood flow and lower cholesterol. It prevents a range of heart-related issues.
2. Better memory
What’s good for the heart is usually also good for the brain. In a Swiss study, MRIs showed that people who drank green tea had more working memory in their brains. Green Tea has also been shown to prevent the formation of tau plaques which is linked to Alzheimer’s.
3. How about Weight Loss?
Sadly, no “magical” food or drink can help shed off some pounds. However, green tea can be used as a substitute to sugary drinks to cut down calories. Next time, ditch that soda for one or two cups of green tea!
Japanese researchers found that green tea changes the pH in your mouth to prevent cavities.
5. Prevents Aging
Since green tea has antioxidant properties, it is known to be good for anti-aging and anti-wrinkle.
Lastly, green tea has relaxing properties. A natural stress-relief chemical called theanine has a great calming effect.
