Different Ways to Detox

Detox is very important for your daily lifestyle. Bad toxins can come from many different sources: food, beauty products, stress, and your overall environment. Once in a while, it is important to get rid of the toxins in your body. Detoxifying the body won’t just help with physical health, it can also help with sleep and concentration.

These are some ways to help you detox based on what you ate (for too much of something).

If You Ate Too Much Sugar

As soon as you start eating sugar, your body starts to produce insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is released to balance out your internal blood sugar levels. Once this repeats, your body starts to feel inactive and this is that sugar crash.

Ways To Detox:

Make sure to eat all 3 of your meals. This is important to not get a sugar crave. For breakfast, try oatmeal or a high-fiber cereal with some fruit. For lunch and, fill your dish with foods high in protein (chicken or fish), veggies, and whole-wheat carbs.

If You Ate Too Much Salty Food

Eating salty food once in a while is fine, but too much can lead to bloating. Salty food is also filled with unnecessary, unhealthy fats and can lead to indigestion in the stomach.

Ways to Detox:

Try to avoid processed foods. Processed foods contain loads of sodium and are generally unhealthy to eat. These would make the bloating even worse. Eating fruits like kiwis and bananas that are filled with potassium can also help reduce water retention in the body.
